Tildenville says thank you Orange County Commissioner Scott Boyd receives a plaque from Sebrenia M. Brown from the Tildenville Community Development Board to thank him for his part in providing toys for needy children during the Christmas holidays. The Winter Garden Police Department had a smaller budget for its 2009 toy campaign and had to eliminate the families in this community. In 2 weeks, Boyd’s staff and members of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office collected toys for all 63 families and delivered them to each household. More of this story...

Rotary makes donation Ten-year-old Taylor Roukey attended a recent Winter Garden Rotary Club meeting to thank members for their donation of $200. Taylor has juvenile diabetes, and her family and friends, named Team Pookie, participated in a Walk for a Cure on Saturday at the University of Central Florida. Citrus Crate Label Show is April 10 The Winter Garden Heritage Museum is hosting a Florida Citrus Crate Label Show on Saturday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in conjunction with the Bloom ’N’ Grow Garden Society’s Spring Fever in the Garden.
