Panthers fall in state hoops final to Winter Park
Dr. Phillips boys basketball Head Coach Anthony Long was well aware of the challenge facing the Panthers as they headed into this year's 6A final last Saturday night against Winter Park, and he addressed it with his team in the locker room after its 50-42 victory over heavily favored Miami Dr. Krop in the semifinals on Friday.

Warriors opens at Wildcat Invitational
The West Orange High varsity boys and girls water polo teams got their seasons off to a fast start with competition in the Wildcat Invitational Tournament last weekend. Each team played four games over the two-day tournament. While the girls were outscored, success for the young team came in other areas. The boys team got off to a slow start but ended the tournament with a 3-1 record.

Foundation Academy baseball wins 3 straight
The Foundation Academy varsity baseball team won three straight district games last week to open its district schedule. The Lions defeated Windermere Prep 7-5, Orlando Lutheran 4-2 and The Geneva School 15-5 to go 3-0 in the district and 4-3 overall.
